About saving the family business with Abba in his Orphaned Age

I’m living in an infinite field of relationships.  IT includes not only you, my friends, but also all of the persons and organizations (i.e. people of faith and secular commUNITY – “E pluribus Unum”) that have joined in the WHOLE SPIRIT of our circle ("O").  I ask you to remember how Alex, some years ago, inspired his mother and all of Drs. Covenant House to invite the Methodists in our congregation to wear and share the cross 24/7/365 in the ARK Valley.  NOW we are not only doing IT but also living the eternal elixir of LIFE.  From a sanctuary in La Junta NOW I am able to write IT without reservation.

Savoring the Flavor of Awe in Hard Times

I am but one of many women from California who have "fallen on hard times... (to find my "Self") living with friends." [Reference: The Pueblo Chieftain "NATION BRIEFS" Saturday (Page 4A)]  I have just read about IT, the horror (i.e. terror) with which we are all faced and against which we all do perpetual battle.  Our fear of authority and hatred of regulation have produced confusing headlines and sound bytes that have all but extinguished the Sacred Fire.

I have just spent the morning at the Barista with two of many men who have provided the music that helps me to savor the flavor of Beauty and Awe in hard times.  One of them (Luc, pronounced Luke as in the name of the physician) played IT on the strings of a guitar. The other ("O") spoke IT with the Word that describes the "Spirit of the Rope."

CYFFR Journal (connected to march4cyffr at Yahoo!)

@ 2 am +/- 2 hours we were both "up n at'm ants!"  I AM CCY.  At least, that is the set of initials by which I am known to students and colleagues who have worked with me since the fall of 1986 when CBR (NOW Youth Connect) hired a number of doctors to convert the place in Colorado from a "child care" program into a JCHO approved medical facility.

Sharing my thoughts, i.e. making them transparent to the whole world (via WWW), began that school year -- the year I met another teacher.  Everyone called him Lee. [Read HIStories Remembered.]  He was a master story teller who died in 2005.  His body was buried on The Mountain on the day of the summer solstice, the day that his friends and I saw a white buffalo in the clouds above the site.

During the twenty-four hours just past, survivors of a battle [See Journey to Justice blogger.] have been saying good-bye to other friends and listening to a world that is suffering the terror of death.  We've been reaching out to comfort family and commUNITY using US Dex.

Here in this place, i.e. CoffeePlace@RainbowWay.org, we have been in constant touch with one another and also with a family whose head I call Abba.  He is the proprietor of "George's Business: Tending the Sacred Fire" [a Google Doc] and also the center of our circle of friends.  Abba has provided sanctuary for Missy and her PETS (often transformed into adopted cats) while "We, the people" have been learning to write IT with the trustees of Covenant Programs, Incorporated. [TheBeast@RainbowWay.org]

Many have asked about Missy and her transformation.  [PETS = Personal Energy Transformation Systems documented in a Windows Live Space.]  The word Missy is simply a title for a baby girl.  I have used the word to reveal an attitude of love that is a gift from parent to child.  The commUNITY in which I live and have been seen to bicycle knows Missy as my traveling companion, a golden retriever, but I have also applied the title to my walking stick and to the IT media devices that I've used to transfer her story [via Windows Live] from real life into HIStory, a Google Doc that is in fact a living book.

In Abba's house the title might be applied to his daughter or to either of his two granddaughters.  In Nava Manor (N.M.) the title has been applied to me as I work with the SAGE to provide hospitality and a Community Room within that building for residents and their guests.  This task has challenged our resources because the local HUD funded administrator has denied the residents of N.M. access to the building's "Community Room."

Some of us (only a few citizens of the ARK Valley) consider this prohibition a great injustice, but many (an overwhelming majority, in fact) are either ignorant about or indifferent to the suffering and isolation that have been imposed on "poor" seniors, on the disabled and on their children.  That is why we have chosen, as volunteers in mission (VIM) to write and publish at RainbowWay.org.  We do IT NOW as RSVP in response to an invitation of the bishops in 2001.

Following "O"

I've been following other correspondents such as the Chieftain and the leaders of church and state NOW engaged in a battle.  Today, in RSVP to an invitation, I shall say good-bye to a dear friend with whom I have worked for many years to build trust and understanding in the Community Room (CRx) at the heart of our commUNITY.
